Sciencesoft opens first Middle East sales base

Our global sales operation has taken a major step forward with the opening of Sciencesoft’s first dedicated sales base in the Middle East.

The new specialised sales team, based in Dubai and responsible for working with oil and gas companies in the Middle East region, is headed up by highly experienced executives Stuart Walley and Andy Sutherland.

This exciting development is described as ‘strategic and progressive’ by Sciencesoft’s sales and marketing director, William Wood who added: “This is a significant step in our vision for Sciencesoft’s future operations. Stuart and Andy bring many years of experience and expertise to our existing sales force and we’re looking forward to making significant inroads to potential new business areas."

William said that 2014 would be an ‘exciting’ year for the company with major new software products being developed and released.

He said: “The year is shaping up to be another successful one with great growth potential. The Dubai operation will doubtless play an integral part of achieving another successful chapter in the Sciencesoft story.”

Headquartered in Glasgow, Scotland, Sciencesoft’s sales operation already has an established network of offices and agent representatives covering the USA, Canada, Malaysia, Vietnam, Thailand, India, South Korea, China and Russia. Other Sciencesoft executives cover key territories such as Japan, North Africa and Europe.

New recruits join our team

Sciencesoft’s team is expanding with the appointment of two new members.

Tanja Trudslev has joined Sciencesoft as a Software Development Engineer. Tanja graduated as a Bachelor of Actuarial Science at Heriot Watt University before furthering her studies at the University of Glasgow with a Master’s Degree in Software Development. Born in Denmark, Tanja is fluent in both Danish and English and has a good working knowledge of Norwegian, German and Swedish.

Martin Craigen joins the team as our new Senior Software Test Engineer.  Martin, who studied Computing Science at the University of Glasgow, has more than 20 years of experience in software testing.

Research and development director Dr Lindsay Wood said: “We’re delighted to have Tanja and Martin on board to enhance our first-class team of software professionals."
