"Although 2015 has been a challenging year for all companies involved in the oil and gas market worldwide, Sciencesoft has managed to secure new business in many countries. Petroleum companies have been looking to save costs wherever they can and have turned to Sciencesoft to provide alternative options. The options that Sciencesoft brings to the market comprise of affordable, time-saving and efficient products that have proven to be indispensable to reservoir engineers all over the world.

Despite the obstacles that 2015 has brought, we at Sciencesoft look to the future with optimism and look forward to showcasing new products in 2016 which will further enhance the Sciencesoft Reservoir Simulation Suite."

Sciencesoft in 2016

2016 promises to be an extremely exciting year for Sciencesoft.

Sciencesoft are launching two exciting and affordable new tools to complement its growing range of state-of-the-art products. These products are S3match and S3schedule.

S3match is a powerful, new, assisted history-matching tool, designed as a plug-in for S3control.S3matchwill enable engineers to set up history-matching runs quickly with its observed data import wizard, and then find matches efficiently using Monte Carlo techniques within a combined Artificial Neural Net and Genetic algorithm.

S3scheduleis a new state-of-the art tool which enables engineers to automate and speed up key parts of their workflows – creating schedule sections of models automatically from various input data files, such as well trajectory data.S3schedulealso works with production history data to give engineers the ability to use intuitive graphical methods to match simulation profiles to real production data. Furthermore, this new product uses leading 3D visualisation techniques to design well paths.
